The Italian Society of Historical Demography will take part in the 2026 Conference of the Italian Society of Economics, Demography and Statistics, entitled “Analysis of Socio-economic, Environmental and Health Systems: the Integrated One Health Approach”, to be held in Catania from 27 to 29 May 2026.
As part of the conference, SIDeS is organizing the historical demography session:
Demographic Systems, Environment and Socio-economic Change in Historical Perspective

The session brings together contributions focusing on the relationships between demographic dynamics, environmental conditions, and socio-economic change in historical perspective, with case studies from Sicily, Sardinia, and Northern Italy.
