Standard of living and inequalities. A historical-demographic perspective

2 – 4 Dicembre 2021
Milano

Presentation

Subject to a sudden worsening of the epidemiological picture linked to Covid19, the conference will be held on-site at the boardroom of the School of Economics and Statistics of the University of Milan-Bicocca. This is a public facility, hence a green pass will be required for access. For those not from Italy, information on obtaining the green pass can be found here: https://ec.europa.eu/info/live-work-travel-eu/coronavirus-response/safe-covid-19 -vaccines-europeans / eu-digital-covid-certificate_en; and here: https://www.dgc.gov.it/web/.

Exceptions to the on-site presentation will be applied only in extreme cases such as, for example, being subjected to quarantine or coming from an Italian region that has been locked down, or, in the case of speakers from abroad, the impossibility of obtaining the green pass, residence in countries from which travel is restricted, etc. These circumstances must be promptly communicated to the session organizers, in order to allow us to organize your intervention through specific online platforms.

Pratical Informations

Here is some information you may find useful for finding an accommodation during the conference.

Hotels

In the university area you will find the Starhotel tourist in Viale Fulvio Testi and the Arcimboldi hotel in Viale Sarca. These are excellent and quiet hotels located in a suburban area not particularly rich in tourist attractions. If you prefer a more central location, an excellent solution is the Hotel Delle Stelline in Corso Magenta in front of Cenacolo leonardesco. The Bicocca campus, being on the lilac metro line (Bicocca stop), is in fact easily reachable from the centre because you can take either the green line changing at Garibaldi or the yellow line changing at Zara. To get an idea of the travel times by public transport from Duomo to Bicocca it takes 25-30 minutes.
