Study Day in Memory of Athos Bellettini, Forty Years After His Passing

On the occasion of the annual Members’ Assembly of 2023, SIDeS organises a Study Day in memory of Athos Bellettini, forty years after his passing. Athos Bellettini contributed to founding the Italian Society of Historical Demography, of which he was the first President. In 1982, he also became the first director of the Department of Statistical Sciences “Paolo Fortunati” of the University of Bologna. In the civil and administrative field, he served as a councillor and assessor both at the Municipality of Bologna and in the Emilia-Romagna Region, where he promoted the creation of computing centres.

The event will take place on Tuesday, October 31, 2023, from 2:15 pm to 6:00 pm, at the University of Bologna – Alma Mater Studiorum, Department of Statistical Sciences “P. Fortunati”, room III.
