We highlight the call for papers for the 2025 conference of the Société de Démographie Historique, dedicated to “Recomposition des familles et des ménages, du Moyen Âge à nos jours” (Paris, INED, 27–28 November 2025).
The Société de Démographie Historique is organizing a conference on the topic of family recomposition in historical and contemporary societies. The event will explore the diverse processes leading to family recomposition—such as death, separation, mobility, and adoption—and their emotional, social, and legal implications.

Papers may be written in French, English, Spanish, or Italian.
