ERC project “CoG REDMIX – Unpacking Mixedness for an Inclusive History of the Red Sea, 1800s–2000s”: call for post-doc positions
Two research grants announced as part of the ERC project “CoG REDMIX – Unpacking Mixedness for an Inclusive History of the Red Sea, 1800s–2000s”

Two positions are available within the ERC CoG REDMIX project, which explores “mixedness” in the Red Sea region (1800-2000). The first position involves a historical, social, and cultural analysis of mixed-ancestry communities, such as Jews, Nubians, and Afro-Yemenites, focusing on gender and labor dynamics. The researcher will contribute to creating a digital archive and project management. The second position is dedicated to the design and implementation of a database and digital archive, ensuring compliance with FAIR standards and facilitating open access and international data sharing.
